The really nice thing about being a WAHM is that you can basically set your own hours. If you work more efficiently in the morning, try betting up an hour before the rest of the family and get your day set up. If you lean more toward the night time, you can take care of emails after the kids have gone to bed and get yourself set up for the next morning.
If you take advantage of the time you didn’t know you had, you will also get more done.
That is to say, the time that you spend waiting. For example, if you pick the kids up from school; use the time you spending waiting for them to return phone calls and to do lists.
When you know you are going to have busy days or times, plan on making quick dinners. If the kids are older, they can help you cook, if they are a little younger, they can set the table while you cook.
The business that you work can also be a family affair. The younger children can put stamps on letters while your older children can put up flyers and data entry tasks. If you have the kids do this, make sure they are old enough to do it properly. You do not need messy looking envelopes or data that has been entered incorrectly.
Maybe one of the most important things to do is to spend time with your children without distractions. You don’t have to go anyplace special, or even leave the house. Don’t forget that the reason you decided to be a WAHM was to spend time with your family. Be sure you don’t loose focus on them.
