I knew changes had to be made or my future, and that of my family, might be in jeopardy.
One night over dinner (we were eating take-out) I discussed this with my husband, and we devised a plan that would allow both of us to quit our jobs, work from home and possibly (I'll tell you more about this in a bit) make more money then we currently brought home from both jobs combined. We both became over zealous in our quest to find the perfect work-at-home business, but the future seemed bright and the possibilities limitless.

We'd need to find a home-based-business that would allow us the flexibility to work our own hours, plus create an income to replace or exceed what we presently made from our jobs. We'd not want to fall prey to online work-at-home scams, and in particular, (we agreed) we'd pay no heed to the daily spam we all seem to receive promising overnight wealth.
Like anything in life, we knew working from home would take work, planning and dedication; but those were qualities we possessed and now we'd be using those same qualities for our family, our future and most importantly, freedom from the time clock.
Our first plan of action was determining our strengths, then searching for home based business opportunities where our talents could best be used. For example, if you love gardening, you'd search for home based opportunities around the field of gardening. You might write a book, create a product, promote an existing product or devise a completely new method to grow award winning vegetables. You probably wouldn't look (unless you chose) for a home based business centered on financial planning.
In my instance, I write, so I utilize that talent to create articles and information that teach others how to best find their perfect home based business opportunity. Its not difficult, and working from home can be one of the most fulfilling and lucrative career moves you'll ever make.

Life is what you make of it, I encourage you to examine your life, then look ahead and imagine where will you'll be in ten years. You could be vacationing in Europe (or a place of your choosing); I hope you are not punching the same time clock and looking forward only to retirement.
