Its 10am Monday morning as I write this; this is a work day and people in my neighborhood and all around town are getting ready for the mad dash to work, made difficult and frustrating by rush hour traffic. It wasn't so long ago I'd have joined them, now I'll simply take another sip of coffee and scratch behind the ears of my cocker spaniel.
"I owe' I owe... so it's off to work I go"
Those work-a-day blues are in my past and I have no intention or desire to return. By working-at-home, my days are free, my time belongs to me, and the only boss I have is the person in the mirror. Sipping my coffee I realize (and am thankful) that I have (in my humble opinion) the perfect life; a loving husband, two growing kids in a good school nearby, money in the bank and the time and freedom to a live a life of choice, rather than necessity. By making the choice a few years back to work from my home; I'm no longer tied to the clock or whims of middle management. Put succinctly' I love it.
Excuse me for a minute... my in-box just chimed, I may have an order to fill. Okay back, that was my friend Jill who like me, works from her home, she likes to call it telecommuting, I call it freedom, but the results are same; money comes in, and life is lived by our standards.
There are many names and ways you can choose to work-from-home, in my instance, I'm an author. Jill chose a home based business opportunity dealing with nutritional supplements and she does very well for herself.
NOTE TO SELF: Discuss with Jill ways we can combine our efforts to maximize home based business profits.
There is one thing that millionaires and minimum wage earners have in common... time. There are only 24hrs in every day and no matter how much or how little money we earn, we do not have the ability to purchase more time. Knowing this, I made a choice (one I highly endorse) to make every minute of every day worthwhile. I knew, in order to accomplish that, I needed to be my own boss, not a slave to the time clock, or corporate headquarters; instead choosing a way to maximize my earnings. When I was introduced to the concept of working from my home, I instantly knew the future presented possibilities I'd never have with a 9 to 5 job. I could excel and there were no limitations on my dreams and goals.
Life is about choices, some large, others small, some minor and a very few, life changing. What choice will you make? Will you chose to continue the frustration of working a job offering little fulfillment, barely covering the bills; or will chose a life of possibilities, financial independence and personal growth. For me, the answer was obvious; I would choose a work at home opportunity that allowed my talents to be used for maximum financial gain. This would give me the ability to spend time with my family, work toward financial independence, and most important (at least to me) free time to live and enjoy my life.
Consider your life... where are you now vs. where you see yourself in ten years. Once those years have past, you will only have memories. Choosing to work-from-home can give you the time (and money) needed to spend quality time with your children, family and friends. Using the power of the Internet, working at home is no longer a dream, its reality, you only have to reach out and grab the opportunity.
