The advantages of working from home are many. However, you may find that once the initial euphoria of working from home – of not having to wake up early, face traffic jams on way back from workplace, or be answerable to your boss – is over, a kind of languor sets in that sometimes makes it difficult to keep your spirits flying high. When you are a WAHM, you most likely will have a small network of other WAHMs who you meet with every so often either on line or locally. These are women you can really connect with. They ‘get it’, they understand what you are going thru; ups, downs and even sideways when you don’t seem to be making progress one way or another.

How many times have you heard “you work at home, must be nice” or “that’s got to be cushy” or something to that effect? The sad fact is that many people fail to realize how difficult it can be to be a WAHM and just assume it is the land of milk and honey. But, they seem to over look the fact that you have your children, to take care of, a house that needs to stay clean, a dog that has to go out and dinner isn’t going to cook itself. Oh, and wait, you have to work too.

A little healthy competition can be good for you and your business. Get together with another WAHM and see who can move the most products in a month, or who can call the most customers in the course of an afternoon. It can be fun and you may find you get more done than you would have otherwise and then, of course, there are those ever important bragging rights.
