Business Growth using Joint Ventures

I’m sure you have heard that tow heads are better than one. Well, have you ever thought of using that strategy in your business? Try getting together with another WAHM to expand your business and learn new skills.

This is called forming a ‘joint venture’ when you team up like this and create a way for both of you to promote your services together. Both of you will share in the work, just as you would share in the profits. As an example, if you are good at affiliate marketing, ask another WAHM who loves to write to put together an ebook about affiliate marketing. Maybe you can team up with yet another WAHM who enjoys pod casting. She can interview you about affiliate marketing and the two of you can sell the resulting MP3.

What if you don’t know a writer or a pod caster? That is easy enough to take care of. Simply get on line and find people who have the skills you need. When you have found one and done your search, send the positive team mate an email and let them know what you are trying to accomplish and would they like to help. Another way to find someone is to post a message on the WHAM boards or simply ask around to the people you already know.

Since you will be spending a lot of time working together, be sure you like the person. During the interview process, check their past works, how long it will take to complete the project and what they charge.

Also, before you start working, make sure you each understand how the work and profits are to be divided, the deadlines for each phase in the project and how the product is going to be sold.

Once you have a project going, why not start on another one? These truly are win win situations. You get to put your product out in a whole new way while splitting the work with someone else who has a skill you do not possess.

This is a great way to grow your network and you client base at the same time.
