Ease the Pain with Creating Information Products
Do you want to put together an information product but can’t find the time to do it? Even if you can find the time, it can be tough to do, and it might make sense to outsource part or all of the job.
To outsource your information product creation:
Get samples from writers you’re before you hire one. Have them write a sample of “test” pages or a small section of the book as well. You’ll need to pay them for this, so you might lose that money if you ultimately decide not to use a particular writer, but it’s far preferable to do this than to run into problems late in the project.
Many online marketing discussion forums can give you recommendations for writers. After you’ve gotten some,, of course, do your own test run as described above to make sure the writer(s) fit your needs. However, it can give you some contacts.
If you don’t want to outsource the whole task, just outsource one task or a couple of them, such as the research or product outline, or both. It’s your decision. The writing will likely be the most expensive and time-consuming task. To save money, maybe you could outsource those two tasks and do the writing yourself.
You can outsource the research and product outline to a virtual assistant as well. Again online marketing discussion forums can give you recommendations. Or do a search under “virtual assistant” to find different services. Recommendations are usually best, though, especially if you’re working with someone you won’t see in person.
Sites like elance.com or guru.com will let you post a project. Freelancers will then bid on that project. You can also view samples of a given freelancer’s work, usually, and read the feedback and reviews they’ve gotten for previous projects.
Outsourcing can be a great help and can help encourage you to get started on that project you’ve been procrastinating about.
